The Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse III as a professional practitioner, assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. Work in an extremely fast-paced environment (Electrophysiology and Cardiac Catherization procedure rooms and Holding area). Cross-train to circulate, monitor, scrub for invasive procedures (Electrophysiology and Cardiac Cath) for population neonate to geriatric. Care of Cardiac patients from point of admission to discharge. Prolonged hours in procedure setting with the x-ray exposure. Responsibilities include: On-call coverage for emergency procedures evenings, nights, weekends with an expected 30 minute maximum response/arrival time.
The schedule for this position will be four (4) ten-hour shifts on weekdays, and potentially Saturdays, as well as being on-call for nights and weekends approximately nine (9) times during every six-week period. Employees who live more than 30 minutes from the facility will be expected to stay in a local hotel while on-call in order to be available during emergencies.
