Today, as one of the most comprehensive and acclaimed institutions for the study of music, the Jacobs School plays a key role in educating performers, scholars, composers, dancers, and music educators who influence performance and education around the globe. The 160 full-time faculty members in residence include performers, scholars, composers, and teachers of international renown. In addition, many top practitioners and scholars visit the school each year. More than 1,600 students from all 50 states as well as 56 countries study at the Jacobs School. They benefit from the intensity and focus of a conservatory setting combined with the broad academic offerings of a major research university.
Performs a variety of non-routine administrative tasks related to all physical space scheduling and reservation needs of the faculty, staff, students, and guest artists of the Jacobs School of Music (JSoM) for all classrooms and performance halls uses. This includes academic classroom teaching, events and performances in Ford-Crawford Hall, Auer Hall, and Recital Hall, faculty and student recitals, precollege and summer programs teaching and performances, student practice rooms reservations, and other ad-hoc requests throughout the year. Manages all aspects of space scheduling requests, schedule changes, revisions, and cancelations bringing resolution to all scheduling concerns. Additionally, responsible for all aspects of the JSoM Schedule of Classes
