The Clinical Services Technician II will be responsible for providing outstanding support to the women and children served in the Beyond Birth Clinic and the practicing team of physician and nurse practitioner providers. This position will be directly responsible for patient care, lab testing and procedures, and maintaining exam rooms and group care rooms. Duties include: acknowledging and greeting patients by name, preparing patients for their visit, guiding patients to exam rooms, obtaining and recording vital signs, obtaining medical history. Collecting specimens for laboratory analysis, conducting laboratory procedures according to Clinical Laboratory Improvement Acts standards, maintains appropriate laboratory controls and document services provided. Assisting with minor procedures, preparing and administering medications as directed by the provider, venipuncture and maintain clinical inventory. This position will also serve as back-up for the front desk registration position.

Required Related Experience:
Required License/Registration/Certification :
Have one or more of the following: 1. Kentucky Registered SRNA, 2. RN nursing student who has completed first fundamental course and a clinical, 3. Military Medic, 4. Acquired clinical services technician (CST) competencies through continuous employment in a CST role at UKHC for 12 months, 5. Graduate from a medical assistant program.
BLS at time of hire through American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification for the Healthcare Provider.
Certification as Certified Medical Assistant/Technologist/Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred. Prefer experience with APM and AEHR fluency.
