Position is for a full time, experienced RNFA in the Operating Room. It is a full time day shift (7a-330p) position. The position does require taking call, which is pro-rated based on the number of hours worked.
Note: Candidate will need to report for on-call duties within 45 minutes.
The RNFA would be expected to first assist when needed in multiple specialties- general, gyn, ortho, robotics, spine and vascular. The RNFA would also be required to function in the scrub, circulating and float position if not required to first assist. The RNFA would be responsible to cover on call, usually one weeknight/ week (11p-7a), and two weekend shifts (7a-7a) in a 6 week period. RNFA's work as part of the team in the OR, assisting with opening cases, interviewing and assessing patients, first assisting, and transporting patient to PACU. RNFA should have competent skills in use of the EMR.
* Graduate from an accredited RN/ BSN program (preferred).
* Accredited RNFA program. CNOR preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in first assisting in multiple specialties including robotics, vascular/ endovascular, ortho and spine.
* Should have strong critical thinking, judgment, be self motivated and have excellent time management skills.
